Coach Rocha
I have a great passion and love for the game of volleyball. For so many years I have wanted to not only give back to the community, but to make a difference. One of my greatest mentors in my life to date took a chance on me and made me a part of his program. He sponsored me, paying for all of my fees, tournaments, and travel expenses associated with the club. We made the boys Houston national team in 1992, playing for Club Texas under the direction of Ray Gonzalez. Our team placed seventh in the nation at Junior Olympics. This former coach of mine made a difference. I can honestly say that volleyball kept me from getting into trouble. It not only gave me a purpose, but it taught me teamwork, determination, and hardwork. I want to be that difference in peoples' lives.
